Gingham Check Headband — Easy Knit

A cosy headband in a pretty gingham check, worked in just one colour using nothing but knit and purl stitches. No colourwork, no cables, no shaping, and no juggling multiple balls of yarn — the whole check effect comes from the texture alone.

It's knitted flat as a straight strip and joined at the ends, so it works up quickly in aran weight yarn. Perfect for a last-minute gift, a craft fair stall, or using up a single ball from your stash. Once the repeat clicks into place it's lovely, easy knitting.

You'll need: Aran weight yarn (one colour), 4.5mm needles, a darning needle and scissors.

Finished size: approximately 18 inches (46cm) long, to fit an average adult head.
